I've been told that Playas de Rosarito is such an ideal location that Fox built a studio there especially for the filming of Titanic and several other blockbusters which have been filmed there since, including Pearl Harbor and Master and Commander.
This is the place with the giant water tank so it's ideal for the story that is said to take place on the water and will feature a man surviving the elements all alone.
Margin Call director
J.C. Chandor is reportedly working on his sophomore feature about a man against nature that he wrote with
Robert Redford in mind.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, of course, but the film is currently called
All Is Lost and it's kind of drama.
Margin Call premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and Redford is the festival's founder, and the outlet says the rest:
Chandor met Redford at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and was so taken by him that he wrote the movie around him. It's really a one man show, a heroic character who braves the elements to survive.
Well, it's a brave choice for veteran Redford bearing in mind that the role would be physically taxing job.
Evergreen Robert Redford will next direct and star as a former radical who was once part of the Weather Underground Movement, opposite Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Richard Jenkins, Susan Sarandon among the others.
