This could be something interesting to watch. So, if you like stories where garden gnomes can attack you, then you'll be happy to hear that we finally have this kind of comprehensive survival guide that details what to do in the event of an invasion by lawn gnomes.
Ok, now when you're interested (are you?), let's report that Robert Zemeckis will produce project titled How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack alongside Sony Pictures Animation.
How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack is based off the novel written by Chuck Sambuchino, and Zemeckis will be producing with Jack Rapke under ImageMovers alongside Gotham Group's own Eric Robinson, Jackie Levine and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.
And no, this doesn't mean that Zemeckis will be directing the whole thing, but of course we are talking about the live-action and CG-animated hybrid film here, so, yes, it's going to be huge project, with a budget in the range of $20-30 million.
And now, the synopsis part: “There's a new threat in town – and it's only twelve inches tall. How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack is the only comprehensive survival guide that will help you prevent, prepare for, and ward off an imminent home invasion by the common garden gnome. Once thought of as harmless yard decorations, evidence is mounting that these smiling lawn statues are poised and ready to wreck havoc.
The danger is real. And it's here. Class 1 gnome-slayer and gnome defense expert Chuck Sambuchino has developed a proven system – Assess, Protect, Defend, Apply – for safeguarding property, possessions, and loved ones. Strategies include step-by-step instructions for gnome-proofing the average dwelling, recognizing and interpreting the signs of a gathering hoard, and – in the event that a secured perimeter is breached – confronting and combating the attackers at close range.”
We'll keep an eye on this one, stay tuned for more updates!
