Ryan Reynolds in Talks for DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo
Turbo is an upcoming DreamWorks Animation's project that will be directed by David Soren, and according to the latest reports, Ryan Reynolds is in final negotiations to voice the lead role.
So, as you see, DreamWorks has quite interesting plans for the future, since they already announced their schedule through 2014 that is loaded with both original projects and sequels.
Turbo tells the story of an ordinary garden snail with an impossible dream: to become the fastest snail in the world. When a freak accident gives him extraordinary speed, Turbo sets out to try to make this dream come true.
Turbo will be released on July 19th, 2013. It is being directed by Soren (Merry Madagascar), who first brought the project to the studio, and produced by Lisa Stewart (Monsters vs. Aliens). It is being written by Darren Lemke (Shrek Forever After) together with Soren.
Reynolds is not such a surprise when it comes to these kinds of roles. He has a relationship with the studio, having voiced one of the leads in Chris Sanders' adventure comedy The Croods, which DWA will open on March 1, 2013, three months prior to Turbo.
