Sam Raimi To Pen EVIL DEAD 4 This Summer
There’s not that much elaboration, but it’s worth sharing: while at a Meet the Filmmakers event for his upcoming Oz: The Great and the Powerful, Sam Raimi dropped two interesting sentences.

Exciting stuff, isn’t it? Raimi has long suggested he was going to return to the franchise, but it’s the first time the director has publicly commented on the state of a sequel. The brother he mentioned is most likely Ivan Raimi who collaborated with Sam on projects like Drag Me to Hell, Army of Darkness and Darkman. With Fede Alvarez‘s Evil Dead remake coming out in April (produced by Sam and Bruce Campbell), this would mean two ongoing series of the same franchise. No word yet if this means getting a sequel to Army of Darkness or if Raimi has Campbell on board at this point."I would love to make Evil Dead 4.
