Second RED TAILS Trailer and Official Poster

Allan Ford December 9, 2011 1 comment
Red Tails 20th Century Fox has released the second trailer and fantastic poster for Lucasfilm's World War II action-drama Red Tails, directed by Anthony Hemingway and executive produced by George Lucas. The film's cast includes: Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Cliff Smith aka Method Man, Kevin Phillips, Rick Otto, Lee Tergesen, Andre Royo, Ne-Yo, Elijah Kelley, Marcus T. Paulk, Leslie Odom Jr., Michael B. Jordan and Daniela Ruah. Here's the synopsis for Red Tails:
1944. As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options – including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country – and the fate of the free world.
Red Tails hits cinemas January 20th, 2012. [source: MTV] Is this trailer an improvement over the last? What do you think of the first poster?

I have watched RED TAILS with great interest. Some years ago, while living in Seaside, CA, I had the extreme pleasure of meeting one of the Tuskegee Officers. I sat and listened to his stories with awe and admiration. I asked his wife if she ever tired of hearing them, her answer was unequivocally, NO! Unfortunately, I cannot remember his name. I have been fascinated by their story ever since. I will definitely see this movie.

On another thought, I love Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Terrence Howard as young (for me they are young) Black actors. I would love to see Cuba in the role of Thaddeus Maurice Baxter, a character in my new book: SWEET DADDY RED. It is the story of a Black mobster, set in Houston, raised in the mob, his mother was one of his daddy’s whores. At the age of 60 he falls in love for the first time with a youn, naive, news reporter half his age. Theirs is a romance like none other. Mr. Lucas, if this storyline interests you, please contact me.
