Seduced and Abandoned combines acting legend
Alec Baldwin with Oscar-nominated director Toback as they lead us on a troublesome and often hilarious journey of raising financing for their next feature film.
Moving from director to financier to star actor, the two players provide us with a unique look behind the curtain at the world's biggest and most glamorous film festival, shining a light on the bitter-sweet relationship filmmakers have with Cannes and the film business.
Or, as Toback previously explained:
“The film idea was generated by conversations Alec and I have had over a long period of time and we decided we'd go to Cannes and shoot a record of our quest to find money to make a movie, which in effect is not a movie we're definitely making, but rather one we will make in the future if we raise the money for it here.”
