Harald Zwart‘s adaptation of Cassandra Clare‘s first book in The Mortal Instruments series, is set to hit theaters on August 23rd, 2013.
Beside Gao, the movie also stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Kevin Durand, Aidan Turner, Jemima West, Jared Harris and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
As you already know, the film is set in contemporary New York City, and revolves around Collins’ character – Clary Fray who discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.
