I’m sure you already know that Jeff Bridges stars in The Seventh Son, and that he will have to fight against the Dark in Sergei Bodrov‘s upcoming movie. After all, we shared the official trailer for the whole thing, remember? Good, now head inside to take a better look at Master Gregory…
Directed by Bodrov, and based on The Spook’s Apprentice (the first book in Joseph Delaney‘s children’s series The Wardstone Chronicles), the movie revolves Bridges’ character, a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch named Mother Malkin, centuries ago.
She escapes and is ready to raze the world in anger, so Gregory turns to Tom, who as the seventh son of a seventh son is prophesied to have special powers against dark magic.

In a deadly reunion, Gregory comes face to face with the evil he always feared would someday return. Now he has only until the next full moon to do what usually takes years: train his new apprentice, Tom Ward, to fight a dark magic unlike any other. Also starring Julianne Moore, Ben Barnes, Djimon Hounsou, Alicia Vikander, Antje Traue, Olivia Williams and Kit Harington, Seventh Son is set to hit theaters on January 17th, 2014.
