The Devil the Daylong Brothers

Quiver Distribution has unveiled the official trailer and poster for The Devil & the Daylong Brothers, a gritty Southern Gothic action crime thriller with a unique musical twist. Directed by Brandon McCormick, the film follows three brothers on a revenge-fueled odyssey across the American South. Packed with gripping visuals, haunting original music, and a star-studded cast, this film offers an exciting genre mashup of crime, horror, and musical storytelling.

The Devil & the Daylong Brothers is set in the mysterious, kudzu-choked backwaters of the Southern United States, where three brothers uncover a horrifying family legacy. Their father sold their souls to the Devil before they were born, and now they're on a mission to reclaim what's theirs. The journey is marked by bloody encounters, dark humor, and evocative music that deepens the film's Southern Gothic ambiance.

The film features Brendan Bradley (The Plus One), Nican Robinson (Ahsoka), Jordon Bolden (The Kill Room), Rainey Qualley (Ultrasound), and Academy Award-winner Keith Carradine. Adding to the allure, the original score by Nicholas Kirk and sound mixing by Michael Brauer elevate the film's haunting tone, blending music seamlessly into its storytelling.

This marks the feature debut for writer-director Brandon McCormick, who previously gained recognition for his short films. Co-written with Nicholas Kirk, the project reflects years of passion and collaboration. Producers include Karl Horstmann, Nicholas Kirk, Jack Sheehan, and Todd Slater.

Scheduled for release in select theaters and on VOD starting January 31st, 2025, The Devil & the Daylong Brothers promises a fresh take on Southern Gothic storytelling. While the film hasn't premiered at festivals, its bold concept and striking visuals are generating early buzz.

The Devil & the Daylong Brothers blends classic Southern Gothic aesthetics with crime thriller dynamics and a unique musical element. This innovative approach has the potential to redefine genre storytelling. Audiences seeking an unconventional cinematic experience should mark their calendars for this January release.

The concept of blending Southern Gothic storytelling with a gritty crime thriller and musical elements is both bold and intriguing. The cinematography seen in the trailer offers a stunning visual aesthetic, enhancing the brooding atmosphere of the film. Keith Carradine's presence adds gravitas, and the fresh talent ensures a dynamic cast. While the trailer leaves some narrative details ambiguous, it certainly piques interest. This could become a cult classic for fans of genre-bending cinema.
