Spike Lee’s RED HOOK SUMMER Full Trailer
Well hallelujah, here’s a first trailer online for Red Hook Summer, a new film by Spike Lee that’s set to hit theaters on August 10th, 2012 in limited release.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and already had a following because of the return of character Mookie from often heralded as the pinnacle film of Lee’s career, Do the Right Thing.
The new film tells the story of Flik Royale (Jules Brown), a young boy from middle-class Atlanta, wearing a sullen expression, who has come to spend the summer with his deeply religious grandfather, a local Bishop Enoch Rouse (Clarke Peters), in the housing projects of Red Hook.
