Despite films like
John Carter,
Battleship and Savages all failed to impress,
Taylor Kitsch is back on his feet. Next project finds him squaring off against a killer in a more modestly budgeted film called
Exit 147.
Kitsch, a star on NBC's critically-acclaimed series ‘Friday Night Lights' is about to make his strongest bid to date to shed his pretty-boy image by appearing in the serial killer thriller from director
Julian Jarrold, who recently helmed ‘The Girl‘ for HBO.
Bloody Disgusting described the film as a:
(horror-thriller) about a man driving across the desert at night who is arrested by a small town sheriff (Kitsch) and held captive as part of his own sadistic game.
Exit 147 has been penned by
Pandorum scribe
Travis Milloy and we'll provide updates as they come in.
Kitsch had also wrapped the Navy SEAL Afghanistan drama
Lone Survivor with
Mark Wahlberg and
Eric Bana, as well as
Don McKellar‘s
The Grand Seduction, the English-language remake of the Quebec movie hit La Grand Seduction, alongside
Brendan Gleeson.
