Taylor Lautner to Star in a New Thriller TRACERS

Taylor_Lautner The producers of Twilight, Mary Bowen and Wyck Godfrey still believe in Taylor Lautner‘s commercial reputation as a bankable star as it was just announced that he will topline Tracers with Daniel Benmayor (Bruc, the Manhunt) onboard as director. Or they will give Lautner plenty of opportunity to show off his physical prowess as a new thriller will feature plenty of parkour action. However, FilmNation Entertainment’s announced on Monday, May 14 that Lautner is set to star as Cam, a New York City bicycle messenger who is in debt to an organized crime gang. Godfrey stated:
We had a remarkable experience with Taylor on Twilight and look forward to bringing Cam to life.
Car, ‘the hottest thing on two wheels’ crashes his bike into a ‘sexy stranger,’ Nikki and becomes seduced by the world of parkour, or ‘free running,’ whatsoever. This is not to mention that Lautner’s latest vehicle Abduction was a disappointment at the box office. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that he will be a big Hollywood action star in a second attempt. Before this, moviegoers will see Lautner reprise his role of Jacob Black in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2, scheduled for release on November 16th. Hit the jump to read the press release:
