The first teaser trailer for the upcoming historical epic Pompeii is here and it's about what you might expect from Resident Evil and The Three Musketeers director Paul W.S. Anderson.
Mount Vesuvius actioner stars Game of Thrones' Kit Harington as sexy brave, but enslaved Celtic gladiator
who falls in love with a noblewoman (Emily Browning) on the eve of a massive volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, which famously uncorked next to the city of Pompeii and buried the entire town in ashes.
It's obvious that Anderson is not holding back when it comes to volcano carnage, but hey, if there's one thing everyone's favorite filmmaker does well, it's entertain the crap out of you.
Heading to theaters on February 21st, 2014, the flick also stars Kiefer Sutherland, Jared Harris, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, and Paz Vega.

Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo, a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.
