Two days ago we shared some pretty cool images from Zal Batmanglij‘s latest movie The East, now it’s time to (finally) see some action! And to take a much better look at Brit Marling‘s character – an operative for the private intelligence firm, as well as her company’s head Sharon, played by Patricia Clarkson. Batmanglij and Marling stand behind the script for this provocative espionage thriller, which revolves around a former FBI agent Sarah Moss, who infiltrates an anarchist collective called The East and convinces its members of her genuine participation.

But, living closely with the intensely committed members of the collective, Sarah falls in love with its charismatic leader Benji, played by Alexander Skarsgard, and begins to question the moral underpinnings of her undercover duty.
The rest of the cast also includes Ellen Page, Toby Kebbell and Shiloh Fernandez, and just in case you forgot – The East opens on May 31st, 2013.
