The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Chinese letters and 60 seconds of Bilbo Baggins and his friends! As you already see from our title – we have the first international TV spot for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which opens this December. Why miss the fun when you’ll have a chance to see Martin Freeman as he enters the world of adventure which will lead him to that precious ring, or whatever that thing is… So, Peter Jackson‘s upcoming movie will this time follow Bilbo Baggins who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Baggins, played by Freeman, will then join a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior Thorin Oakenshield. Where will the journey take them? Into the Wild, of course, through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. Although their goal lies to the East and the wastelands of the Lonely Mountain, first they must escape the goblin tunnels, where Bilbo meets the creature that will change his life forever… Gollum. Alone with Gollum, on the shores of an underground lake, Bilbo will discover depths of guile and courage, and – he will also gains possession of Gollum’s precious ring that holds unexpected and useful qualities… The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Beside Freeman, this well-known fantasy adventure also stars Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Richard Armitage, Stephen Fry, Stephen Hunter, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish and James Nesbitt. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens on December 14th, 2012.
