Earlier we posted the trailer for the upcoming The Lady movie and today we have a brand poster. The film, directed by Luc Besson, is about the life of Aung San Suu Kyi (Michelle Yeoh) who spent more than a decade under house arrest. David Thewlis portrays Suu Kyi's husband, Dr. Michael Aris.
The Lady is an epic love story about how an extraordinary couple and family sacrifice their happiness at great human cost for a higher cause. This is the story of Aung San Suu Kyi and her husband, Michael Aris. Despite distance, long separations, and a dangerously hostile regime, their love endures until the very end. THE LADY also is the story of the peaceful quest of the woman who is at the core of Burma's democracy movement.
The Lady will be released to theaters in France on October 5, 2011. There is no US release date yet.
