Sci-fi romantic thriller, that should be interesting. That's exactly why we want you to check out this pretty cool (and pretty white) poster for
The Machine, which comes from director
Caradog James and (apparently) explores an authentic, beautiful, but also a terrifying world of… well,
robotic soldiers. Or something like that. Head inside to find more details!
Written and directed by James, the movie is set in the near future and revolves around two young computer programmers who fall in love as they work together to create the first ever piece of self-aware artificial intelligence which is designed to help humanity.
As you already guess – things go wrong when the M.O.D steal their breakthrough and teach it to become a robotic weapon.
Described as an intelligent, VFX-driven action thriller inspired by
Mary Shelley's
Frankenstein, the movie stars
Toby Stephens as Vincent,
Caity Lotz as Ava and
Denis Lawson.
Here's the official synopsis:
Britain is in a Cold War with a new enemy, the Ministry of Defense is on the brink of developing a game-changing weapon. Lead scientist Vincent McCarthy provides the answer with his creation, ‘The Machine'- an android with unrivalled physical and processing skills. When a programming glitch causes an early prototype to destroy his lab, McCarthy enlists artificial intelligence expert Ava to help him harness the full potential of a truly conscious fighting machine.
Unfortunately – still nothing about the official release date for
The Machine, but I guess we'll soon have more updates to share.
Let us know what you think about the poster & stay tuned!
