The Road Poster Online!
The poster for John Hillcoat‘s feature film adaption of Cormac McCarthy‘s novel “The Road” has appeared online.
Synopsis: A father (Viggo Mortensen) and his son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food and each other.
The post apocalyptic thriller stars Viggo Mortensen (best known for his performances in the Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings Film Series and David Cronenberg'sEastern Promises.), Robert Duvall (The Godfather, Gods and Generals, The Apostle), Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Director John Hillcoat (The Proposition) led the production, based on a screenplay by Joe Penhall and Nick Wechsler.
“The Road” hits theaters on October 16, 2009.

With all due respect to Miss Theron. Mr. Viggo Mortensen is the lead of this movie, if there is such a thing,
It upsets me when credit is not given where it is due.
Miss Theron is in this movie for about 5 or 10 minutes. Shown in flashbacks as the wife.
as are most of the other characters,, with the exception of Kodi Smith McPhee who is what I would call the co star.
Unfortunately credits are not given the way they are supposed to. And it’s not the first time.
