Shhhhh! Loki Is Reading In New THOR: THE DARK WORLD Image

Let’s get straight to the point: this new Loki image is here only to remind us that a brand new trailer for Thor: The Dark World arrives in two days. And, that’s pretty much all I have to say about this photo. Still, I definitely recommend you to check out the rest of this report and take a better look at Tom Hiddleston, ’cause (in case you forgot) he’s constantly dancing on this fault line of the dark side and redemption…

I’d like to take Loki to his absolute rock bottom. I’d like to see him yield, essentially, to his darkest instincts. Then, having hit rock bottom, maybe come back up.

Yep, that’s exactly what Hiddleston has to say about his character (click to enlarge), Thor’s adoptive brother and nemesis who Thor seeks for assistance against the Dark Elves.

Anyway, let me once again remind you that Alan Taylor‘s upcoming movie continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.

In other words:

Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Also starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Zachary Levi, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins, the movie is set to hit theaters on November 8th, 2013.
