Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie Starring Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jeff Goldblum…
Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are putting together a film titled Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie.
That means they have co-written and will co-direct the whole thing, and as you see from the title it will follow the two comedians, while making a movie for $1 billion dollars and the problems that arise from it.
But, before you leave this report, check this fresh update – John C. Reilly, Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte and William Atherton are all involved in the project that's already shooting!
Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie is kind of spinoff of their popular television series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, and as we said, the movie is about the comedians' characters, Tim and Eric, who, according to Wareheim: “literally get a billion dollars to make a movie, and we make it, and things go awry, and Tim and I just decide to get out of Hollywood and become businessmen in an abandoned mall.”
On the other hand, Heidecker added: “It's definitely the biggest thing we've ever done in terms of scope of the size of the production. Relative to other films, it's tiny, but to us, it's the biggest thing we've ever done, the biggest crew we've ever worked with and the most professional thing we've ever done. And the challenge is to fight against the professionalism and keep things loose.”
Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie started principal photography on Friday. It is Heidecker and Wareheim's first feature film, which has distribution through Magnolia Pictures.
And if you're wondering about the budget, here's the answer – the producers say we should expect: $1 billion!
No word yet on release dates, but you'll be the first to know! So, stay tuned!
