Golden Globe nominations of any film this year, with a total of six nominees including Best Motion Picture-Drama, Best Director for
Jason Reitman, Best Screenplay for
Jason Reitman and
Sheldon Turner, Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama for
George Clooney, and two Best Performances by Actresses in a Supporting Role for both
Vera Farmiga and
Anna Kendrick.
The film has also received numerous other film critic organization accolades such as four National Board of Review wins for Best Film, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor (George Clooney) and Best Supporting Actress (Anna Kendrick), as well as eight Broadcast Film Critics nominations for Best Picture, Best Director (Jason Reitman), Best Adapted Screenplay (Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner), Best Actor (George Clooney), Best Supporting Actress (Vera Farmiga and Anna Kendrick), Best Acting Ensemble, and Best Editing (Dana E. Glauberman, A.C.E.). George Clooney received additional recognition from the New York Film Critics Circle for Best Actor in the film and Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner were awarded Best Adapted Screenplay by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

Paramount Pictures' received an additional nomination for
Stanley Tucci for Best Supporting Actor in “
The Lovely Bones” which is rated PG-13 and is currently in limited release.
the main thing I’m looking forward to about the Golden Globes is seeing Ricky Gervais host it – that guy is too funny
