Veronica Mars, a crowd-sourced big screen revival of the beloved and acclaimed television series of the same name has released its first full trailer.
After nine years away, Veronica (Kristen Bell) is finally back in her hometown of Neptune, Calif. to take the case. Her former flame, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is caught up in some major legal troubles and charged with murdering his girlfriend.
With over 90,000 backers, the Kickstarter had no problem reaching its $2 million goal and surpassing it, ultimately getting $5.7 million in funding.
Written and directed by the original TV series creator Rob Thomas, the upcoming film also stars other alums of the show, including Percy Daggs III, Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ken Marino and Enrico Colantoni.
The movie is set for release on March 14th, 2014 in select theaters. Digital downloads are also planned for the devout followers.
