WANTED 2 Is Coming But Angelina Jolie Won’t Be Back!

Let's cut the crap, we're all interested in Wanted 2! I hated the first movie actually, but what the hell – at least the cast was pretty cool. Well, here's an interesting part of this report – it looks that James MacAvoy will be back as that Wesley guy after all, while Angelina Jolie is definitely off. Still, Derek Haas, man who stands behind the original script promises that we'll have a chance to watch a brand new female character in the whole thing! So, Haas is now finishing the second draft of the script together with his writing partner Michael Brandt, and as I mentioned up above, the movie will center on McAvoy's character Wesley who's now (and that's like four years later) recruiting a young woman who is in his situation in the first movie. Or, as Haas explained:

She's got a shitty life. He's sort of in the Fox role, and this new girl is brought into the world.

So, I guess we should all forget about those previous rumors – no prequel this time, and no Angelina Jolie this time. Or, as Haas explained – the goal is not to undo anything presented in the original film:

Angelina gets shot in the head and everyone's like – Oh, are you going to bring back Fox?  I said – Did you see the bullet go into her head? And they say – Oh, she can take one of those milk baths! We never wanted to do that movie.

And that's pretty much all Haas had to say about Wanted 2. Except, of course, he also added that he's thrilled to be back in the comic book universe of Wanted 2, where his imagination can really run wild:

The world is a blast. Timur is awesome. You get to go nuts. As writers it's really freeing to bend physics and natural laws.
