Danny Mooney's directorial debut Love and Honor, previously known as AWOL shows us that The Expendables 2 Liam Hemsworth has a romantic side too.
The film based on the true story of an Ann Arbor, Michigan soldier, follows a soldier Dalton Joiner (Austin Stowell) who sneaks back home (Absent Without Official Leave) from the war in Vietnam to find and win back his girlfriend, played by the stunning Aussie thesp Teresa Palmer. His best buddy, Mickey Wright (Hemsworth), the latest one to miss out on a wild time, decides to go with him to America, change her mind and return to the war without getting caught. Meanwhile, they also learn about hippies and anti-war protesting.
This 1960s drama set on the University of Michigan campus also stars Aimee Teegarden, Chris Lowell and Wyatt Russell.
