It's getting closer and closer to August 3rd and Columbia Pictures has some great new footage for us. The
Len Wiseman-directed
Total Recall reboot recycles the basic premise of one of the greatest sci-fi movies, but switches it up for a new generation as you can see in the latest one TV spot (No. 5) just released.
Wiseman's version finds Douglas Quaid (
Colin Farrell) feeling too tense to live in futuristic New Shanghai with his wife Lori (
Kate Beckinsale), and deciding a trip to Rekall; a company that implants memories into customers; before everything goes horribly wrong, and he ends up on the run from everyone and everything he knows; Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter (
Jessica Biel) to find the head of the underground resistance (
Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen (
Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world who controls the police force; the line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.
In this new version, only loosely based on the classic
Philip K. Dick story, ‘We Can Remember It for You Wholesale', also appears character of the three-breasted woman played by
Kaitlyn Leeb, and returning from the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger version of Recall.
Unfortunately, not in this trailer, but check it out anyway.
