Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Fiona July 23, 2024 Add a Comment

You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger – oh, finally! See, that's exactly why some of us will keep an eye of this upcoming Woody Allen project!

The film was shot in London last year and will be shown at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Out of Competition.

And yes, this is new and fresh film, starring Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Naomi Watts. Check out the rest of our report for more details about this one…

Are you ready for this kind of synopsis: “A little romance, some sex, some treachery and apart from that, a few laughs. The lives of a group of people whose passions, ambitions and anxieties force them all into assorted troubles that run the gamut from ludicrous to dangerous.”

As you see, the whole thing revolves around different members of a family, their tangled love lives and their attempts to try to solve their problems, and to be honest – we expected nothing less from Woody Allen!

And, of course, no wonder he got himself some quality team! We already mentioned some names, but we could also add few more to that list, like Freida Pinto, Anna Friel, Ewen Bremner, Lucy Punch and Christian McKay.

Ok, you might ask – what's Allen's problem, since he has released at least one movie each year since.. like…1982? Well, ok, he's hard worker, and as we all know, even as 75 year old,  he's still full of impressive ideas, so why not?

Scoop, Match Point, Whatever Works, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Cassandra's dream, these are some movies that we all remember, and no matter if you like them or don't, man sure knows how to intrigue us all, and that's why we'll be right there to see how You will meet a tall dark stranger works out.

Another interesting thing about this new movie is the title, which is actually an early scene where a lonely woman consults with a gypsy fortune teller who predicts that she will meet the love of her life, and that's kind of interesting fate as well…

We'll soon have a chance to see how fortunate Allen was with this one, so stay tuned!
