The Toronto International Film Festival smash hit Adam Wingard‘s home-invasion horror flick You’re Next has finally set a release date and we have scored a new photo from the film to give you a little bit of a tease.
After a bidding war with Summit, Dimension, CBS Films, and FilmDistrict, Lionsgate is planning to release it August 23rd, 2013. Therefore, over the next year the studio ramps up promotion.
Written by Simon Barrett the film stars Sharni Vinson, AJ Bowen, Nick Tucci, Wendy Glenn, Joe Swanberg, Rob Moran, Barbara Crampton, Maragaret Laney, Amy Seimetz, Ti West, Larry Fessenden, Lane Hughes, L.C. Holt, Simon Barrett, and Calvin Reeder.
Wingard and Barrett are the duo best known for A Horrible Way to Die, V/H/S and the forthcoming S-VHS.
The stars of the film are reportedly Sharni Vinson, placed in a badass female heroine role and screenwriter Simon Barrett with his comedic aspect of the film that makes it feel very fresh.
