REPEATER Hey guys, here's something interesting – we have the first (teaser) poster and official synopsis for R. Ellis Frazier‘s upcoming action movie Repeater, which stars Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White in the leading roles. As you're going to see, this action-packed international thriller is all about: Find. Kill. Repeat. Sounds like we're dealing with a serious badass in here? In case you're not so familiar with the whole thing, we will first inform you that R. Ellis Frazier directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Benjamin Budde. It centers on an expert assassin hired to track down a notorious hacker who has leaked information about global governments and corporations, but finds himself a target in the aftermath of the job. Or, if you prefer the official synopsis:
John James Smith is noted international man-hunter and killer-for-hire, and his mission leads him to the dangerous underworld of Tijuana, Mexico in search of the most feared man in the world. Ruthless. Cold. Cunning. He finds, he kills, he repeats. He gets in and he gets out – though sometimes getting out can be a problem. After assassinating a Colombian businessman and barely escaping the local authorities, Mr. Smith finds himself in Mexico City awaiting his next mission. His long time handler, Edgar Mann, informs him that there is a high paying mission near the dangerous US/Mexico Border. The client is Richard Silver, an aging but charismatic businessman who stands to make billions on the impending sale of his company. He hires Mr. Smith to locate and eliminate a man named Jean Rousseau. Despite his quirky, frail appearance, Rousseau is in fact one of the most feared and wanted men on the planet. Nicknamed “the Leaker,” Rousseau runs a website that publishes leaked and highly classified information; he has toppled governments and crippled corporations. Silver will do whatever it takes to eliminate Rousseau. For added insurance, Silver has made the contract open – not exclusive to Smith. Smith is therefore forced to deal with another killer, a big bruiser named Rush. Rumor has it that Rousseau has intercepted information that will expose Richard Silver's financial empire as nothing more than a worthless fraud. Smith accepts the mission and makes his way to Tijuana. Smith finds Rousseau hiding out in Tijuana with a bodyguard as he awaits the encryption codes that will allow him to upload the classified documents on Silver's company. When Smith locates Rousseau, he finds him guarded by an Asian hit man named Johnny Ling and a tough Latina named Vasquez. And Smith definitely qualifies as a loose end; this time, getting out will be a bigger problem than he's ever faced. He narrowly escapes in a series of high impact close calls with another professional man-hunter named Henrik Botha. As skilled as he is, Botha may be the least of Smith's worries – the entire town of Tijuana is gunning for him. With no one to trust, precious little time, and even fewer resources, Smith makes a desperate run for the border with various factions bearing down on him with relentless precision.
Repeater stars Michael Jai White as John James Smith, Dolph Lundgren as Henrik Botha and Vinnie Jones as Rush. There's still nothing about the release date, but as usual – we'll keep an eye on it! REPEATER Poster
