Steven Seagal Joins THE EXPENDABLES 3?

Fan site EXBlog, which promotes itself as ‘The Ultimate Blog of THE EXPENDABLES Franchise' has reportedly discovered a bunch of local newspapers claiming that Steven Seagal has already signed on to join Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables 3. Unnamed Bulgarian news sources are also stating that Mel Gibson will  be in the film fighting Seagal next to Stallone, Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren. When it comes to speculation about the cast of the upcoming action sequel, it's difficult to separate fact from fiction. It's unlikely a bunch of Bulgarian newspapers would be the first to confirm it a done deal, despite the fact that Stallone had said in the past that he had spoken with Seagal about the role. Gibson would play the villain in the new movie. One thing's for sure: the script, which has gone through a lot of rewrites, will include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage, Wesley Snipes, Milla Jovovich, Randy Couture and Mickey Rourke with production that will begin later this summer. The third installment is due in theaters on August 15th, 2014. The Expendables 3 will go further following the exploits of Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, and their associates.
