The first full poster has been released for the sequel to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, aptly named Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
Formerly known as Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftover, Cloudy 2 picks up some time after the events of the first film, featuring the voice work of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Benjamin Bratt, Terry Crews, Will Forte and Kristen Schaal.
I hope the film will be pretty damn funny and clever as it was original since the sequel has the original film’s directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller executive producing with a screenplay from John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses) with Erica Rivinoja (South Park), directed by Cody Cameron (a story artist on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and Kris Pearn (head of story on Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs).
The first trailer is set to premiere tomorrow!
Cloudy 2 opens in 3D on September 27th, 2013.

Here’s the synopsis:
After the disastrous food storm in the first film, Flint and his friends are forced to leave the town. Flint accepts the invitation from his idol Chester V to join The Live Corp Company, which has been tasked to clean the island, and where the best inventors in the world create technologies for the betterment of mankind. When Flint discovers that his machine still operates and now creates mutant food beasts like living pickles, hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees and apple pie-thons, he and his friends must return to save the world.
