Animosity is an upcoming horror-thriller which comes from director Brendan Steere and as you’re about to see – it looks pretty cool. Deep secrets, shallow grave. In other words: a house in the middle of the woods & a lot of mistery. Written and directed by Brendan Steere, the movie revolves around a newlywed couple who moves into a cabin in the woods. Soon, they discover the forest surrounding the house is host to sinister supernatural powers that cause them to turn against each other.

Shot in the northeastern region in Pennsylvania and produced by Brandon Taylor and Michael Allen, Animosity is the first feature film lensed by cinematographer Jesse Gouldsbury. Here’s what director Steere had to say about the project:
I love movies with gobs of gore and blood, but this is just not that movie. I was thinking a lot about Ti West’s films while making it. Argento’s earlier giallo work. Alien and Rosemary’s Baby – movies that creep and build. There’s a palpable mystery and build that really I’m very happy with. I think we’ve really made something special, and I really hope the horror community responds to it.

Animosity stars Tracy Willet, Marcin Paluch, Tom Martin, Alyssa Kempenski and Stephan Goldbach and the movie is having its east coast screening at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York City between May 4th and 7th of 2013.
