R.I.P.D.

We have another (much better) poster for Robert Schwentke‘s upcoming R.I.P.D. movie. As you already see – nothing spectacular, just another look at Bridges and Reynolds defending our world one soul at a time. I’m sure you loved the first trailer for this supernatural action-adventure, now head inside to check out the new poster & let us know what you think!

Schwentke directs the movie from a script written by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, which is based on Peter M. Lenkov‘s comic book Rest In Peace Department, published by Dark Horse Entertainment.

As we previously reported, R.I.P.D. revolves around two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

Or, if you prefer the official synopsis:

Veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer has spent his career with the legendary police force known as R.I.P.D. tracking monstrous spirits who are cleverly disguised as ordinary people. His mission? To arrest and bring to justice a special brand of criminals trying to escape final judgment by hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth. Once the wise-cracking Roy is assigned former rising-star detective Nick Walker as his junior officer, the new partners have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork. When they uncover a plot that could end life as we know it, two of R.I.P.D.’s finest must miraculously restore the cosmic balance…or watch the tunnel to the afterlife begin sending angry souls the very wrong way.

Starring Jeff Bridges as Roy Pulsifer, Ryan Reynolds as Nick Walker, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, Robert Knepper, James Hong and Marisa Miller, R.I.P.D. is set to hit theaters on July 19th, 2013.
