Keira Knightley faces life as “The Duchess” premiering at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square on Wednesday, September 3 2008.

“The Duchess” is the story of an extraordinary woman who rose to fame by staying true to her passions in a world of protocol, gossip and social rules - and paid the price.

Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley and Academy Award winner Ralph Fiennes head an international cast that also includes Dominic Cooper as the abolitionist Charles Grey, the Duchess’s favorite lover, Haley Atwell as the Duchess’s alluring best friend and rival, Lady Elizabeth “Bess” Spencer; and Charlotte Rampling as the Duchess’s mother, the Lady Spencer. Director Saul Dibb takes the helm for this period drama adapted from Amanda Foreman’s best-selling novel Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, documenting the romantic entanglements of a beautiful celebrity (Kiera Knightly) whose unhappy marriage to the the Duke of Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes) threatens to erupt into scandal when she falls for an enterprising young politician.

Orlando Bloom dropped out ‘Education’

orlando-bloom1.jpgOrlando Bloom has been reported to be pulling out from his involvement in new drama movie “An Education“.

Bloom has chosen to quit from the film produced by BBC Films because of the filming schedule clash.

He has been immediately replaced by Dominic Cooper, because the film directed by Lone Scherfig has started shooting on Monday.

Adapted from a script written by British novelist Nick Hornby, the film is claimed to be a coming of age drama about a teenage girl who falls in love with a thirty something playboy.

The film based on British journalist Lynn Barber’s memoir also features Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan, Alfred Molina, Rosamund Pike, Olivia Williams, Sally Hawkins and Emma Thompson.

It is scheduled to hit the theaters sometime in 2008.
