Vladimir Rajcic Will NOT Star in Angelina Jolie’s War Love Story
A few days ago we wrote about possible candidate for leading role in Angelina Jolie Bosnian film, Vladimir Rajcic.
But today we have new information regards to male main character in Jolie’s directorial debut and information comes directly from producers of the film.
Vladimir Rajcic was in talks to take over leading role in this yet untitled, love story set during the Bosnian war, but unfortunately he is forced to turn down the part.
Currently, Rajcic is very busy with his own project and that’s a movie about Nikola Tesla which he is producing with Oscar Wining Producer Branko Lustig (Schindler’s List, Gladiator).
Now the big question is who can lead and take over, because Rajcic was perfect candidat for this role.
Vladimir Rajcic as Lead Male in Angelina Jolie Bosnian film?
So, you already know that Angelina Jolie will shoot a movie in Serbia and the region, which will mark her directorial debut.
You also had a chance to read our reports about the cast, and that Jolie has promised to cast only actors from the region.
That cast already includes Rade Serbedzija and Zana Marjanovic, but no, we’re not here to repeat all that, but to share the latest cast rumors with you.
Jolie’s movie is actually “a love story set during the Bosnian war, and the film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship.”
Zana Marjanovic will portray above mentioned Bosnian woman, and now the biggest question is who will play her Serbian partner.
So we took a little peek at the Serbian press and according to their reports, we have a possible candidate for the role: Vladimir Rajcic.
Zana Marjanovic in Angelina Jolie’s War Love Story
Zana Marjanovic, remember that name, because the latest Hollywood news goes like this:
Snow star has landed the lead in Angelina Jolie’s writing and directing debut, still untitled Bosnian War film!
We already had a little chat about this project, so you know that actor Rade Serbedzija (best known from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I as well as The Saint, Snatch, Batman Begins, Eyes Wide Shut, Mission: Impossible II, Thick as Thieves) also joined the movie that is described as:
“a love story set during the Bosnian war, the film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship.”
Rade Serbedzija on Angelina Jolie’s War Love Story
A few days ago we had a little chat about Angelina Jolie and her plans for shooting of a movie in Serbia and the region, which would mark her directorial debut.
So, you probably remember that we also mentioned Jolie will be in the leading female role, right?
But, that’s not going to happen, because the actress will make her debut as a director and a screenwriter for the upcoming romance. Sorry guys, but no Jolie on a big screen this time!
We also know that Rade Serbedzija (The Saint, Snatch, Batman Begins, Eyes Wide Shut, Mission: Impossible II, Thick as Thieves) will appear in Jolie’s yet untitled war love story.
“For almost two months already I have been in contact with Angelina Jolie. She tried to contact me via my agents and they told her that I am not acting in movies on war in former Yugoslavia.
I rejected all offers because scenarios were mainly poor and onesided. When she was told why I had rejected her offer, Angelina contacted me by phone and asked me to read the scenario. The text is fantastic,” Serbedzija said.
