Brad Pitt Is Top Money-Making Star Of 2011
Brad Pitt has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2011 in Quigley Publishing Company’s 80th Annual Poll of Motion Picture Exhibitors. This is Pitt’s sixth appearance in the Poll, but his first win. Exhibitors felt Pitt was responsible for more traffic to theatres than any other Hollywood star based on his performances this year in “Moneyball,” “The Tree of Life” and “Happy Feet Two.” (voice)
The Quigley Poll, conducted each year since 1932, is an annual survey of motion picture theatre owners and film buyers, which asks them to vote for the ten stars that they believe generated the most box-office revenue for their theatres during the year. It has been long regarded as one of the most reliable indicators of a Star’s real box-office draw because the selections are made by professionals whose livelihood depends on choosing the films and actors that will bring audiences to their theatres. The Quigley Poll appears annually in Quigley Publishing Company’s International Motion Picture Almanac and on our web site: www.quigleypublishing.com. Both list the results of all the Polls since Marie Dressler, Janet Gaynor and Joan Crawford took the top three places in 1932.

THE AVENGERS: 8 New Character Posters
Marvel has unveiled eight character posters for its superhero ensemble movie The Avengers.
The who’s-who of classic Marvel characters, most of whom have their own big-screen franchise, unite as agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to fight covertly for the good of mankind in this Joss Whedon-directed flick: Robert Downey Jr.,’s Iron Man; Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Chris “Captain America” Evans; the Hulk, featuring Mark Ruffalo (taking over the role from Ed Norton); Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s leader Nick Fury along with newcomer Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.

I’m really excited about the upcoming Marvel’s The Avengers movie, simply because that’s the perfect opportunity for all of us to see a whole bunch of superheroes in one single project.

Two new banners for the highly anticipated superhero spectacular The Avengers have been unleashed online.
Starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evens, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L Jackson, and directed by Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, the Avengers brings together Marvel Comics all-star superhero team for the first time on the big-screen.

Here are 38 brand new high resolution photos from the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (aka Sherlock Holmes 2). The new film is the sequel to the 2009 Guy Ritchie-directed adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters starring Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as his faithful sidekick Watson.

New SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 Poster
Warner Bros. has released the final poster for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows movie which as you already know opens on December 16th, 2011.
Thank God we’re done with Holmes’ posters for this year, I definitely prefer the character banners, but go on – judge for yourselves.
Nothing spectacular, it just makes Holmes and Dr. Watson look so plastic. It would work for Madame Tussauds, though.

Two new character banners for Joss Whedon directed epic superhero adventure The Avengers have been released.
The way the banners are styled, it appears as it is made up of four individual posters which leads us to believe that we will see poster versions of each of the heroes later on down the road and maybe another banner / set of posters highlighting more of the heroes / villains like Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Cobie Smulders (S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Maria Hill) and Tom Hiddleston (the evil Loki).
