Sean Connery and Harrison Ford To Return For Indiana Jones 5?
Sean Connery and Harrison Ford are set to return to the “Indiana Jones” franchise.
Back when “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was being written, George Lucas revealed that the script had Indy’s father in it, which meant that Sean Connery (Professor Henry Jones Senior) would need to reprise his role. Unfortunately, 79-year-old veteran actor refused and the script was quickly re-written. However, creators on the next movie, the fifth in the hugely successful franchise, are planning to bring Henry back.
A source said:
“Steven Spielberg has been working on a script with George Lucas and there is an element of the story that could see Sean returning. Anything is possible in these movies and if Sean wants to return he will become central to the new story.”
No confirmation or denial has been disclosed on this story just yet.
Sean Connery to play villain in ‘Quantum of Solace’?
As “Quantum of Solace” is well in the production, it is revealed that the former James Bond depicter Sean Connery has considered to return to the super-spy film franchise.
According to press release, the seven time Bond star won’t be reprising his notable role, instead he is eyeing to be the bad guy.
“I wouldn’t mind coming back as a Bond villain. But I don’t think they would pay me enough. They don’t pay the money for other parts, only for the Bond character, although that wasn’t the case when I was doing it,” Connery said.
The 77-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has been involved in negotiations to land a villain role with the film’s producers since Daniel Craig has been tapped to bring the Ian Fleming’s agent back to the big screen with “Casino Royale”.
Connery has portrayed Bond in seven of the super-spy agent films in the period of 1962 to 1983. During those time, he has appeared in “Dr No”, “From Russia With Love”, “Goldfinger”, “Thunderball”, “You Only Live Twice”, “Diamonds Are Forever” and “Never Say Never Again”.
As the actor who has played Bond, Connery praises Craig as well as the last film saying, “I think Daniel Craig is a terrific choice. I think they’re going back to a more realistic type of Bond movie as I don’t think they could have gone much further with the special effects.”
