Lionsgate has debuted creepy new motion poster for horror film” The Haunting in Connecticut

Based on a chilling true story, Lionsgate’s “The Haunting in Connecticut” charts one family’s terrifying, real-life encounter with the dark forces of the supernatural. When the Campbell family moves to upstate Connecticut, they soon learn that their charming Victorian home has a disturbing history: not only was the house a transformed funeral parlor where inconceivable acts occurred, but the owner’s clairvoyant son Jonah served as a demonic messenger, providing a gateway for spiritual entities to crossover.

The flick is directed by Peter Cornwell from the script by Tim Metcalfe and Adam Simon. Stars Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner, Martin Donovan, Elias Koteas and Amanda Crew.

“The Haunting in Connecticut” opens to theaters on March 27.

“Haunting in Connecticut” Trailer and Poster Premieres

The first trailer and poster to “The Haunting in Connecticut” has arrived. The flick is directed by Peter Cornwell from the script by Tim Metcalfe and Adam Simon. Stars Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner, Martin Donovan, Elias Koteas and Amanda Crew.

In the tradition of such real-life horror movies as ‘The Exorcist’ and ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’, THE The “Haunting in Connecticut” tells the astounding true story of one family’s supernatural ordeal. When Sara and Peter Campbell’s son Matt is diagnosed with cancer, they uproot their family to Connecticut for his treatment. As the family settles into their new home, Matt grows increasingly disturbed by paranormal activity that seems to inhabit and possess the house. At a loss to help her frightened family, his mother turns to an enigmatic priest who appears to rid the house of its ghosts– until the boy’s condition takes a sudden and unexplained turn for the worse and their lives are put in grave danger.

Matthew Broderick in ”Diminished Capacity”

The upcoming comedy “Diminished Capacity” is directed by Terry Kinney starring Matthew Broderick, Virginia Madsen and Alan Alda.

The director Terry Kinney, is not known for his filmmaking, but instead for his acting in “OZ”, “Save the Last Dance” and “Devil in a Blue Dress.”

“Diminished Capacity” has already appeared at the Sundance Film Festival and is now scheduled to appear in theaters on July 4th, in limited release.

Alan Alda is Rollie Zerb, a small-town Missouri old-timer with Alzheimer’s, who lives with his sister (and some guy named Wendell in a trailer by the house). They are visited by Cooper (Matthew Broderick), who arrives at his mother’s request to help talk Uncle Rollie into a nursing home. Cooper has mental problems of his own, due to a recent concussion.

While back in town, he runs into Charlotte (Virginia Madsen), his high school sweetheart who is recently divorced from the town mayor. And somehow Rollie, Cooper, Charlotte and her son wind up heading to Chicago, where they are going to try to sell Uncle Rollie’s rare baseball card of Frank Schulte, from the 1908 Chicago Cubs (the last Cubbies team to win the World Series!)
