On October 29 Lionsgate will release Saw VII 3D, the final film in the torture franchise and today IGN has debuted the first trailer for the film.
Synopsis: As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror.
After a long run that began back in 2004, director Kevin Greutert has confirmed that this seventh chapter – set to be released in October – will indeed be the last, asserting that it will ‘not only give the core fans everything they want and deserve, but also serve as a perfect introduction to audiences who are new to the series'.
Oren Koules, a producer on all the Saw movies says:
“‘It's time to stop. We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell.' That's probably code for ‘gruesome.' The franchise, about a booby-trap-building psycho, became the titan of horror films with its intricate, deadly devices: a dirty needle pit; a razor box that peels skin like onions; a reverse bear trap that rips open the jaw,”
USA Today writes. And that's not all that the franchise is known for, since it also wrote a whole new page on how to build an intricate and unpredictable plot, with more twists that one could ever begin to count.
But that's child's play compared with the final film, which was shot in 3-D and will feature 11 booby traps, nearly double the average for previous films. The film was re-edited and submitted six times to the Motion Picture Association of America to bring it from an NC-17 to an R rating. ‘I'm surprised we got it

It's more violent than any of them. But it's in 3-D, it answers all the questions, it comes full circle. We have the goods on this one',”
the aforementioned publication further says.

Saw VII 3D starring Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell and Sean Patrick Flannery. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who have written Saw IV, Saw V and Saw VI, once again team up for the next installment.
