Jennifer Garner (Pearl Harbor, Catch Me if You Can, Juno) and Joel Edgerton (Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, The Thing, Warrior ) play Cindy and Jim, a married couple who are happy together, but have just given up on their dream of conceiving a child.
Downtrodden, they make a wish list for the qualities they would want their kid to have, and then bury the list in the backyard. Imagine their surprise when a young boy shows up in their own backyard boasting a checklist of personality traits eerily similar to those on the list they had made.
CJ Adams, Ron Livingston, Dianne Wiest, Odeya Rush, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lin-Manuel Miranda, M. Emmet Walsh, Lois Smith, and Common are also featured in the movie.
Slated for an August 15th 2012 release, The Odd Life of Timothy Green was written by Ahmet Zappa, Peter Hedges with Hedges also directing.
