Tom Hooper can't get enough of the music. This time Les Miserables director may reunite with
Sacha Baron Cohen for the
Freddie Mercury biopic.

Peter Morgan, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter behind The Queen and Frost/Nixon, the biopic has always been a starring vehicle for Baron Cohen who is not of Arab heritage, but loves to mock all things Arab and Muslim.
Farrokh Bulsara, better known as Freddie Mercury was born in the British protectorate of Zanzibar, East Africa, but Morgan's script is said to begin with the formation of Queen in the early '70s and end with their legendary 1985 Live Aid set.
The film has kicked around in development for the past couple years with Baron Cohen first linked with the project back in 2010, but nothing much has happened with it.
Producer
Graham King hinted that Baron Cohen may attempt to sing all those Queen songs, which would be incredibly brave of him.
I must admit that I can hardly see Cohen and Hooper together behind a biopic on the legendary Queen frontman, so it'll stay in the rumor folder until there's actual news to report.
Stephen Frears (High Fidelity) was close to inking a deal to direct the biopic last summer.
