Dakota Fanning Set For Twilight Sequel New Moon?

Dakota Fanning

E ! Online is reporting that Dakota Fanning (Hide and Seek, The Secret Life of Bees, Push) is in talks to join the cast of “New Moon“, the upcoming sequel to “Twilight.” There is nothing confirmed but she could be playing the role of Jane. From E! Online:
I can exclusively report that the 14-year-old child star-she turns 15 on Feb. 23-is in talks to play Jane opposite Robert Pattinson & Co. in New Moon, the upcoming sequel to box office megahit Twilight. “There were no auditions,” a source reveals. “They just offered it to her outright, and now they're in negotiations. They've been going back and forth.” Jane is a member of Italy's Volturi, the most deadly group of bloodsucking killers in author Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series. In the casting notice we got our hands on earlier this month, Jane is described as a petite blonde with a “Botticelli angel-like face…[and] crimson irises.” While fellow Volturi guards Demetri & Felix “are three times the size of her, they are terrified of her,” the casting notice reads. Coincidentally (or maybe not), an online petition started by a Twilight fan already asks the studio, Summit Entertainment, to cast Fanning because she would be “perfect” for the role.
Fan support for Dakota Fanning was strong within the “Twilight” nation – boosters even took a cue from the Taylor Lautner debacle of 2008 and circulated a petition claiming Dakota was “perfect” for the part. (To see more “Twilight” petitions click here.) Melissa Rosenberg is writing the screenplay and Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass) is directing, again star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Filming on “New Moon” is scheduled to begin in Italy this spring. The plan is for it to be in theaters by November 20.

EWWWWWWW . they wish she jane was described “as a petite blonde ” the derector should read the book and make jane look like she is described. here is an extrat from the book.
At first i thought it was a young boy. The newcomer was as tiny as Alice,
with lank , pale brown hair trimmed short. The body under the cloak which
was darker, almost black , was slim and androgynous. But the face was too pretty
for a boy. The wide-eyed , full-lipped face would make a Botticelli angel look like a
gargoyle. Even alowing for the dull crimson irises. Her size was so insignificant that the
reaction to her appearance confused me. “Follow me,” Jane spoke again, her childish voice
    a monotone.

im sorry but go get lost dakota

I’m a big fan Dakota but I think that you being in the movie would ruin it. 1st of all, you don’t look like anything they describe in the book, and 2nd of all, I don’t see how you would fit as a vampire.

I am with all of you on this, she is lookin better than she used to as a little girl but the director should just go out and find a jane that is like the book describes. Dakota would not work for this part at all, and as she has recently admitted she only wants the part because she wants to be with Robert Pattison he is way too old for her.

hmm i thought she wud be good for the part but obviously i dont remember she had brown hair.. which changes a lot for me.. i never wanted to read the books bcoz apparently for most people reading it 1st ruined the movie.. but i gave in coz they were too good :) so im worried ill be disappointed in the movie.. DONT CHANGE THE STORY OR THE CHARACTERS , (unless one passes away or leaves or cant act anymore for any reason, then there is not much you can do about that so who cares :).. )
