I’m sure you’re already familiar with A Single Shot, a pretty intense crime thriller which comes from director David M. Rosenthal and stars Sam Rockwell as a hunter who accidentally shoots a young woman. After all, we shared the official trailer for the whole thing a few weeks ago, remember? As we previously reported, the movie is based on Matthew F. Jones‘ novel of the same name, which revolves around a hunter named John Moon, who accidentally shoots a young woman while hunting deer and discovers a box of money near her body.
He tries to cover up the murder but he soon discovers that the money belongs to criminals who want it back. And… well, that’s exactly when the tense cat-and-mouse struggle in the backwoods of West Virginia begins.
Beside Rockwell who plays the above mentioned John, the rest of A Single Shot cast includes William H. Macy, Jason Isaacs, Jeffery Wright and Kelly Reilly, and the movie is set to hit limited theaters on September 20th, 2013 (also available On Demand on August 20th, 2013).
