Adam Green is set to direct the new film with an interesting title Killer Pizza. And that's not all, he will also be in charge for the script, that will be based on the Greg Taylor novel.
We guess this is wonderful news for all horror fans out there, since we all know that Green is writer and director of the horror film Hatchet and forthcoming sequel Hatchet 2, so is there better guy for this pizza-adaptation? Definitely no…
The official description from the book goes like this: “Pizza you'll die for! Toby McGill dreams of becoming a world-famous chef, but up until now, his only experience has been watching the Food Network.
When Toby lands a summer job at Killer Pizza, where pies like The Monstrosity and The Frankensausage are on the menu, things seem perfect. His coworkers, Annabel and Strobe, are cool, and Toby loves being part of a team.
But none of them are prepared for what's really going on at Killer Pizza: It's a front for a monster-hunting organization! Learning to cook pizzas is one thing, but killing hideously terrifying monsters? That's a whole other story. Still, if Toby quits Killer Pizza, will monsters take over his town?”
So, at this moment, that's all we know about this upcoming Green's project. But we also had a chance to hear that, 1492 Pictures, a production outfit run by Chris Columbus and CJ Entertainment are at work on three new horror films (including mentioned Killer Pizza) Carpe Demon and The Graveyard Book.
Carpe Demon is an adaptation of the Julie Kenner novel Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom. Columbus has been asked to rework the take of a stay-at-home mom who is in charge of cleaning up her demon-plagued town.
The Graveyard Book is an adaptation of the book by Stardust author Neil Gaiman. Neil Jordan will pen the script as well as direct this live-action movie about an orphan raised by ghosts. Wayfare Entertaiment, Framestore and Gaiman will also be producers and CJ will co-finance the movie and be the distributors in Korea and Japan.
