Few days ago we had a little chat about the upcoming Woody Allen‘s mysterious project, when we reported that Penelope Cruz is set to reteam with director. Now, it looks that Alec Baldwin is attached to star in Allen's upcoming untitled comedy that will shoot in Rome. And that's basically all we know about the whole thing at this moment.
We like the fact that Baldwin is attached to this project, and from what we heard from Deadline “…Allen has just begun putting this film together, and word is that “The Social Network” star, Jesse Eisenberg is also in line for a lead.”
And while we're still here let us remind you what Penelope Cruz had to say about her collaboration with director:
“I know what I'm doing next, but the thing is that I have to ask the director what I can say and what I cannot say. Because he's very secretive. It's a movie with Woody Allen. But I really cannot say anything about the story or the characters.”
Not much, as you see, but we do know that it will shoot in Rome, because, as you remember, Allen has declared New York City, the site of a majority of his most famous films, as now too expensive to shoot films in.
As for Baldwin, he's quite busy these days. He will first star in Rock Of Ages, the Adam Shankman-directed New Line musical. Then he has Lucky Them project where he will star alongside Marisa Tomei and Thomas Haden Church.
