Director
Marc Webb has
tweeted the image with the message ‘Hello, America. Meet Aleksei Sytsevich!', which is the real name of The Rhino, Russian mafia thug who, unlike
Electro (
Jamie Foxx), isn't very bright — in every sense of the word.
We'll have to wait a little longer to see Giamatti in full villain attire, wearing a special suit modularly aligned and composed of a thick polymer mat similar in appearance to the skin of an actual rhino. The character debuted in the Spider-Man comics in 1966.
Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and
Sally Field also star.
