Yesterday we shared some pretty weird stills from David O. Russell‘s upcoming American Hustle, now we’re back to share the very first trailer for the whole thing. As you’re about to see – this video doesn’t look bad at all (can’t say the same for those hairstyles), and gives us a much better look at that (awesome) cast which, beside Bale, Cooper and Adams, also includes Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence. So, as you already know, O. Russell’s upcoming movie will tell us the story of a con artist and his partner in crime, who were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians.
In other words, Christian Bale plays a brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld, his partner in crime and mistress is Amy Adams aka Sydney Prosser, while Bradley Cooper plays a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso.
Here’s the rest of the story:
DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that’s as dangerous as it is enchanting. Carmine Polito is the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds, and Irving’s unpredictable wife Rosalyn could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down.
Renner plays Carmine Polito – the Mayor of Camden, New Jersey, Lawrence is Rosalyn, and the rest of the cast includes Robert De Niro, Michael Peña, Jack Huston and Louis C.K.
In case you fogot – American Hustle is already set to hit theaters on December 25th, 2013.
