Written and directed by Jonathan Levine, the movie is based on Isaac Marion‘s novel of the same name, and will give us a funny new twist on a classic love story. Described as a poignant tale about the power of human connection, this horror romance centers on an unusual zombie named R who, after a zombie epidemic encounters a human survivor Julie and rescues her from a zombie attack.

Julie soon realizes that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human. All that brings us an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
