Here's brand new poster for the upcoming film “
Solomon Kane” based on a story by
Robert E. Howard (Conan the Barbarian) in 1928.
Synopsis: A 17th century Puritan, Solomon Kane (
James Purefoy) is a somber-looking man who wanders the world with no apparent goal other than to vanquish evil in all its forms. His adventures, published mostly in the pulp magazine Weird Tales, often take him from Europe to the jungles of Africa and back.

Michael J. Bassett directs from his own script, with
Max von Sydow, Pete Postlethwaite, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Alice Krige and
Mackenzie Crook co-starring.
“Solomon Kane” will premiere at the
Toronto Film Festival in September.

How come so many sites are citing this as a new poster, when a quick google search and date-check prove that it just ain’t? The latest one was released just before comic-con, and sports a picture of Solomon Kane with a puritan hat, standing in the rain.
