Charlize Theron and Armie Hammer in Hoover Biopic?
We're sure you all remember that Clint Eastwood‘s Hoover biopic, now titled J.Edgar, right?
Ok then, now get ready for a little update!
The Social Network star, Armie Hammer and lovely Charlize Theron are in talks to star in the upcoming film.
Ok, we were kidding, this is huge update!
So, you already know that Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play the role of director of America's FBI, boss who has been played by several actors in the past, from Ernest Borgnine and Bob Hoskins through to Billy Crudup, who took a supporting slot as a young Hoover in last year's Public Enemies.
Hoover was known for harassing political activists and wire-tapping public figures, but also credited with building the FBI into a large and efficient crime-fighting agency, and with instituting a number of modern innovations to police technology, such as a centralized fingerprint file and forensic laboratories.

On the other hand, since the 1940s, unsubstantiated rumors have circulated that Hoover was a homosexual, so we guess that the movie could also explain some things about that issue.
As you already guess, young actor Hammer is eying the role of Clyde Tolson, the FBI official who was also rumored to be the former FBI director's gay lover.
On the other hand, Theron will play Helen Gandy, Hoover's personal secretary.
J. Edgar will film early next year.
