In case you're not so familiar with A Walk Among the Tombstones, let us right here at the beginning inform you that we're talking about an upcoming action thriller which comes from director Scott Frank and already has Liam Neeson on board. According to the latest reports, Downton Abbey star, Dan Stevens is also in some serious negotiations to join the project! Check out the rest of this report to find more details!
Scott Frank will direct the movie from his own script which is based on the popular Matt Scudder book series written by Lawrence Block. The whole thing centers on a former NYPD cop turned private eye who's been hired to find the kidnapped wife of a drug dealer, operating outside the law to pursue the kidnappers.
Formerly a cop with the NYPD, now an unlicensed private eye and a recovering alcoholic haunted by past mistakes, Matt Scudder is hired to find the kidnapped wife of a drug dealer. He operates just outside the law where the police don't go to track down the kidnappers, who he discovers have been involved in multiple kidnappings and brutal murders.
As you already guess, Neeson is on board to play Matt Scudder, while at this moment it's still unknown what part Stevens would be playing.
Cross Creek Pictures and Exclusive Media will co-finance and produce, with Universal distributing domestically.
